RSE Survey 2020

The latest Recognised Seasonal Worker (RSE) survey – used earlier this year when the industry successfully made the case to keep the scheme in place – is now available here.

The survey combines the results from all RSE employers across all sectors and regions. The results are not weighted and are presented based on the percentage of employers that answered each question. Following presentation of the results, a narrative from each of the key industry sectors is provided.

The report has been well received by Ministers and government officials, who have acknowledged that the industry is progressively addressing the former Immigration Minister’s five challenges. They also noted that we are on a journey and that more progress is needed, particularly in reducing the use of residential housing for RSE workers.

New Zealand Kiwifruit Growers Incorporated (NZKGI) Chief Executive, Nikki Johnson is acknowledged for taking the lead in producing this report.
